1 bottle of 100ml maintenance oil to protect and nourish your brass.
How to use?
This oil can be used by the user to reapply after each cleaning of any brass surface.
The oil is safe for use in food environments.
How to use?
-
Gently clean the brass surface with a soft lint-free cloth. The cloth can be used slightly damp, with or without a neutral and very soft soap.
Keep in mind that local rubbing (with a cloth with or without soap) will cause friction on the surface and will cause the brass to intensely colour, very locally . For this reason, we recommend using wide and soft cleaning movements. Local intense patina spots are not stains but merely the brass showing a reaction due to ingress of other materials and will not disappear with cleaning. This will simply blend back into the general patina and colouring of the material over time.
Be patient and enjoy the natural power of brass!
-
After cleaning, dry the surface with a clean and dry cloth
-
After drying use a clean an soft cloth to apply the oil. Put a few drops of oil on the cloth and then rub gently the oil on the brass surface in a fine layer. Again, use wide and soft movements.
Thick layers of oil will not provide more protection but rather make the whole thing feel unpleasant and remain greasy. A fine and thin layer of oil will not be felt after drying.
-
Let the oil dry to the air.

Your brass surface is now protected again
Please note that under no circumstances can Fo Le Fer BV - Atelier Tourain be held accountable about how the brass is maintained or used. This is 100% the responsibility of the user
Fo Le Fer BV - Atelier Tourain's oil provides a basic water repellent effect but is no 100% sealed protection. It serves purely as basic protection against mild splashes of light products. Acids such as for example lemon, tomatoes, wine or harsh cleaning products, will break down the oil more quickly and thus cause patina marks on the material.
The customer is aware that Atelier Tourain delivers the brass as a natural product and accepts every aspect of its natural characteristics.
